Terence Dillard, A Supporter of Collaborative Strategy in Educational Program

Terence Dillard is a reputed and versatile educator of the present times. He is the one who gives equal importance to Academic Education, disciplinary behaviour and sports or athletics. He is currently teaching as an Assistant Principal in Booker T. Washington High School from last three years. He passionately encourages his collaborating method which includes participation of all the respected stakeholders to easily carve innovative programs and form qualified and talented learning communities in order to improve standard based classroom instruction. He majorly focuses on expanding students’ academic as well as extracurricular results and research oriented educational goals. Over the years, he has accumulated very valuable experience by serving at multiple positions in several schools in Georgia District. Health and Physical Education Teacher at DeKalb County Schools from 1997 to 2002 and later at Atlanta Public Schools from 2002 to till 2007 and finally an Assistant Principal at Miller Grove High School, Lithonia High School and currently at Booker T. Washington High School in last six years are to name a few. 

Readiness Performance Index score rise from 60.1 to 82.7 by the School of Banking, Finance, & Investment and from 79.1 to 80.1by Booker T. Washington High School of Early College in addition to eighteen Georgia Hope Scholarship students, three Gates Millennium achievers, six 100 Black Women Scholarship accomplishers, and two Posse receivers are the bright outcomes of Terence’s extraordinary collaborative leadership skills and programs. His sincere efforts to motivate high level parent, students, teachers and community involvement in improving communication and effective interaction skills are innovative and commendable. Booker T. Washington High School and at Lithonia High School has uplifted his Male Mentoring Program since it displayed a decline in the number of school discipline violations and increase in regular attendance of male students. He was the forerunner in conceptualizing local formal hearings for student discipline and in conducting Official Code of Georgia Discipline Proceedings. 

By creating a 3 to 5 year well structured plan, Terence wants to assure the students, parents and the institution that all of their education oriented requirements will be taken care of. His proficient test administration skills, enforcement of Georgia Compulsory Attendance Regulations, subtle and engaging oral communication talent, Collaborating approach with SRO during Investigations, well organized conceptual methods, development of Saturday Academy for At-risk students and efficient management of Confidential and Sensitive Documents have brought him to the position appropriate for participating in DCSS Local Formal Hearing Proceedings. Terence Dillard is an undisputed all rounder and a brilliant Educator for Georgia District Schools.
